If you are flying in for our wedding, the best airport to arrive at would be Sacramento International. You can either rent a car or take an Uber to your hotel or place of stay. Travel time from the airport to Midtown Sacramento is about 20 minutes.

A classic option if you prefer to stay in downtown Sacramento rather than Midtown. Close to Old Town Sacramento, Golden 1 Center, and Sutter Health Park if you’d like to check out some history or a sports game.

We will be providing shuttles to and from the wedding venue. Shuttles will be leaving promptly at 3:45pm from Fort Sutter Hotel.

UBER

Ubers will be easy to the venue, but could take longer to get after the event. Please account for traffic when traveling to the venue.

PARKING

Parking is available at the venue.
Grand Island Mansion is located on a river road with minimal street lights, make sure you are comfortable driving at night.

Please take an Uber or the shuttle if you intend to take advantage of the open bar!

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please make sure you submit your RSVPs by February 18th, 2026. The sooner the better!

Can I bring my kids?

We love your little humans but are opting for an adults-only affair (with the exception of our flower girl) to allow everyone to relax and enjoy the celebration. We hope you understand our decision and can arrange child care for the evening. If you have any concerns or special circumstances, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly to discuss further.

Do I have a plus one?

Whether you receive a plus one is specified on your invitation. If your invitation includes a specific name or states “and guest,” you are welcome to bring someone. If you have any questions or need clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Will there be a shuttle to/from the wedding?

Yes, we will have a shuttle pick guests up at the Fort Sutter Hotel in Midtown Sacramento. The shuttles will also bring guests back to the hotel at the end of the evening.

Is parking available at the wedding venue?

Yes, there is a parking lot at the venue available for those wanting to drive there. We will also be providing a shuttle to/from the Fort Sutter Hotel and you will be able to park in the hotel lot.

Is the wedding outdoor or indoor?

The ceremony and reception are outdoors, but guests will have access to the inside of the mansion.

What is the dress code?

Creative/Colorful Black Tie

Think fun, bright, and dressed to impress. Ladies, please lean into color, textures, and long dresses, kindly avoid black if possible! Gentlemen, you can always go all out in the tux but suits are welcome.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Your presence is a present in itself, but should you wish to get us a gift, please refer to our registry. We will also have a card table at the wedding.

What is the weather going to be like?

The April weather in Walnut Grove can range from 65-85 degrees, our goal was to book the wedding before the Sacramento area reached boiling temperatures and we realize this creates some variability. Though the reception is inside, we would recommend dressing for warmer weather and bringing a sweater/jacket.

What time should I arrive to the venue?

The wedding will be starting at 5pm sharp, so please make sure to arrive to the venue by 4:30pm. The shuttle will be leaving the hotel at 4pm.
